Emrick Flats

Emerick Chevrolet built this four story concrete building in 1925 as their showroom. It occupies a prominent triangular corner just off West Broad Street near the Jefferson Hotel. Our project was to convert the building into 25 residential condominiums. The individual apartments are conceived as industrial shells with a minimal amount of spatial division within the units. The development used Virginia Historic Tax credits.
